The BMW M850i’s 4.4L twin-turbo V8 is a powerhouse of refinement and torque, but the factory exhaust system leaves much of its character restrained. Designed with heavy internal baffling and restrictive flow paths, the stock system mutes the raw emotion of the N63 engine, keeping the soundtrack subdued even in Sport+ mode. The Yonristic Performance Valved Cat-Back system transforms the M850i’s presence — both audibly and visually — unlocking a sound profile that finally matches its performance and luxury.
At the heart of our design is a true dual 3-inch X-pipe layout, engineered to balance exhaust pulses between banks for cleaner scavenging and a smoother, more exotic tone. This equalized flow reduces harshness and amplifies the deep growl of the V8 while maintaining perfect harmony across the rev range. The integrated valve control system retains full compatibility with the factory electronics, seamlessly switching between comfort and sport modes, while also offering our standalone remote-control module for on-demand operation.
Customers can choose between two visual configurations:
– Factory Tip Fitment, which retains the OEM diffuser and stealth appearance.
– Quad Tip Upgrade, available in chrome, burnt, black, or carbon fiber finishes, which requires a compatible diffuser and adds a commanding visual presence.
Constructed entirely from AISI304 stainless steel or Ti-6Al-4V Aerospace-Grade Titanium, each system is precision TIG-welded and mandrel-bent for unrestricted flow. The internal X-pipe geometry and resonator length are tuned to eliminate drone while producing a rich, muscular tone — aggressive under throttle, yet refined at cruise. The result is an exhaust system that enhances performance, saves weight, and brings out the full emotional depth of BMW’s grand tourer.
