The Ferrari 12Cilindri’s 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 is highly sensitive to the exhaust components positioned immediately downstream of the engine. The factory catalytic system is designed around emissions compliance, acoustic control, thermal management, and long-term street use, which naturally creates more exhaust restriction than a dedicated performance system.
The Yonristic Performance MaxFlow Catalyst Front Pipes replace this section with a freer-flowing architecture developed specifically for the F167 platform. By reducing restriction before the exhaust reaches the center and rear sections, the system allows the V12 to move exhaust gases more efficiently and creates a more immediate connection between engine speed, throttle input, and exhaust sound.
A major feature of the system is its one-piece construction. Rather than building the front section from multiple short pipes, adapters, and unnecessary connections, each assembly is designed as one continuous performance section. This creates a smoother exhaust pathway, reduces potential leakage points, improves structural consistency, and helps maintain a cleaner acoustic transition into the downstream exhaust system.
The result is not only increased volume. Reducing restriction at the catalyst section allows more of the V12’s natural frequency and exhaust energy to reach the rest of the system. When paired with the Yonristic VANTA Edition extended X-pipe exhaust, the catalyst front pipes help produce a more immediate, open, and increasingly high-pitched sound as engine speed rises.
Every assembly is manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel, selected for its corrosion resistance, high-temperature durability, and strength under repeated thermal cycles. Precision sensor provisions, vehicle-specific bends, mounting points, and factory-style connections allow the complete assembly to install as a direct bolt-on replacement.
The entire system is also covered with dedicated external heat shielding. Catalytic converters and front exhaust sections operate at some of the highest temperatures anywhere in the exhaust system, making thermal protection particularly important on a high-output V12 platform. The shielding helps contain radiant heat around the pipes and catalyst bodies, reducing heat exposure to surrounding components and providing an additional layer of thermal protection during extended high-RPM operation.
Three configurations are available depending on the desired character.
200-Cell High-Flow Catalysts provide the most aggressive catted option. The lower-density metallic catalyst structure allows exhaust gases to pass through more freely than a restrictive factory catalyst, improving flow while retaining a catalytic substrate. This configuration produces a noticeably stronger exhaust note and is well suited to owners prioritizing performance and sound while still choosing a catted design.
400-Cell High-Flow Catalysts provide a more refined alternative. The increased catalyst density creates slightly more exhaust control while still offering a performance-oriented flow path. This version is ideal for owners who want a cleaner, more sophisticated V12 character while still reducing restriction compared with the original system.
MaxFlow Free-Flow Front Pipes remove the catalyst substrate entirely for the least restrictive configuration possible. This option delivers maximum exhaust flow, the strongest increase in sound, and the most direct V12 character. It is intended for off-road, closed-course, and competition applications where permitted.
When paired with the VANTA Edition exhaust, catalyst choice becomes another method of tuning the complete sound of the vehicle. The 400-cell configuration maintains the most refinement, the 200-cell configuration creates a more aggressive high-flow character, and MaxFlow provides the most unrestricted version of the naturally aspirated V12 experience.
Changing the original catalytic converters may also affect the vehicle’s catalyst-efficiency monitoring. Depending on catalyst configuration, market specification, and ECU software, an OBD2/CEL solution may be available separately. Please contact Yonristic Performance for compatibility information.
