The Yonristic Performance Exhaust System for the BMW X5 M60i and X6 M60i is developed specifically around the characteristics of the S68 twin-turbo V8, focusing on improving exhaust flow, refining sound quality, and maintaining OEM-level integration.
At the core of the system is a true dual 3-inch exhaust architecture, significantly increasing flow capacity compared to the factory system. The larger diameter piping allows exhaust gases to exit more efficiently, reducing backpressure and improving overall engine breathing. This results in a more responsive throttle feel, stronger mid-range torque delivery, and a noticeable improvement in the engine’s overall efficiency under load.
The system features a precision H-pipe crossover design, chosen specifically for the S68 platform. Unlike X-pipe configurations that emphasize higher-pitched tones, the H-pipe preserves the deep, muscular character of the V8 while enhancing low-end richness and mid-range fullness. The result is a more balanced and refined sound signature—deep and authoritative at low RPM, with a strong and controlled presence as revs increase.
To maintain versatility, the system supports both factory OEM valve control and remote valve control functionality. It connects directly using plug-and-play OEM valve integration, allowing the exhaust to operate seamlessly with factory driving modes. At the same time, the included remote valve control provides full manual control, allowing you to open the valves completely on demand for maximum sound and performance. This dual-control setup ensures the exhaust can remain quiet and refined when needed, while instantly transforming into a more aggressive and expressive system when opened.
The exhaust is designed to retain the factory tip bracket, ensuring perfect alignment with the OEM rear diffuser and maintaining a clean, factory-level appearance on both the X5 and X6 platforms. This approach preserves the original design language of the vehicle while enhancing its performance character.
For those looking to further enhance performance, we also offer high-performance downpipes for the S68 platform. Available in both free-flow catless and 200-cell high-flow catalytic configurations, these upgrades significantly reduce upstream restriction, improving turbo efficiency, throttle response, and overall power output when paired with the catback system.
Constructed using precision mandrel-bent tubing and hand TIG welding, the system ensures consistent internal flow and long-term durability. Designed from detailed underbody measurements, it installs as a direct bolt-on solution using factory mounting points, with no cutting or modification required.
