The BMW G87 M2 shares the S58 engine with the G80 M3 and G82 M4, but its compact chassis calls for a different approach to rear exhaust packaging.
The VANTA GOLD EVO system carries over the M3/M4 EVO’s core design principles: equal-length routing, dual 3-inch main piping, an enlarged AURUM FLOW CORE™, and two front resonators. The axle-back is developed specifically for the M2, using a dual H-pipe arrangement to accommodate the available space while pursuing a similar closed-valve sound character.
Every section works toward a connected goal: generous exhaust-flow capacity, a focused S58 tone, and controlled sound during both light-throttle operation and harder acceleration.
Full Dual 3-Inch Architecture. The G87 VANTA GOLD EVO uses dual 3-inch main piping, with a matching enlarged AURUM FLOW CORE™ through the center section.
This coordinated layout provides additional exhaust-flow capacity for owners developing their S58 beyond factory output. The piping, core, resonators, and rear assembly are designed as a complete system, balancing the demands of higher-flow builds with the acoustic character expected from EVO.
Equal-Length Design + AURUM FLOW CORE™. Signature equal-length routing remains central to the VANTA GOLD EVO architecture. Working with our proprietary AURUM FLOW CORE™, it shapes the interaction between the two exhaust paths and establishes the system’s distinctive tone. The core uses precision 3D printing to create sculpted internal passages that guide exhaust flow through the convergence section. Its enlarged 3-inch format matches the EVO piping and carries the same central design approach used in the M3/M4 EVO system. The sound develops from a substantial lower register into an increasingly expressive midrange and a crisp, high-pitched upper-RPM character.
Front Resonators for Low-RPM Sound Control. Larger piping requires careful acoustic tuning, particularly during low-RPM operation when the engine is moving less exhaust gas through the system. Two resonators are positioned toward the front of the exhaust to address unwanted frequencies early in the flow path. Their purpose is to control resonance and keep the exhaust note focused during conditions such as Comfort-mode driving, gentle acceleration, and light throttle at low RPM.
Particular attention is given to the approximately 1,500–2,200 RPM range, where metallic rasp or a rattle-like exhaust sound can become noticeable, especially with free-flow downpipes.
Working with the equal-length routing and AURUM FLOW CORE™, the resonators help suppress this acoustic harshness while preserving the flow capacity of the dual 3-inch layout. Their tuning focuses on the character of the sound across changing engine loads.
G87-Specific Dual H-Pipe Axle-Back. The M2 provides less space around the rear muffler section than the M3/M4. Accommodating 3-inch tubing and the M3/M4 EVO’s rear X-pipe arrangement within that smaller area would leave less room for the mufflers themselves.
For the G87, Yonristic uses two H-pipe crossovers between the rear exhaust paths. This layout fits the available space while preserving the muffler volume needed for effective closed-valve sound control. The dual H-pipe arrangement is designed to retain a similar exotic character to the M3/M4 EVO when the valves are closed. It provides a crossover solution tailored to the M2’s packaging requirements, with meaningful volume reduction and a distinctive tone in the quieter setting. With the valves open, the system reveals its full EVO character, building from a strong S58 presence into an expressive, high-pitched sound as engine speed rises.
A Distinct Sound Within the VANTA GOLD Family. VANTA GOLD and VANTA GOLD EVO represent different approaches to S58 sound, each developed around its own design purpose. The G87 EVO carries the family’s exotic identity with a full-bodied lower register, focused midrange, and clear upper-RPM character. Its resonated front section and dual H-pipe rear assembly establish a sound tailored to the M2, giving owners a choice based on their preferred tone and intended build.
Signature Gold Ceramic Coating. The AURUM FLOW CORE™ receives our signature gold ceramic treatment, giving the system its recognizable centerpiece. The heat-resistant finish helps manage radiant heat around the coated module while resisting heat-related discoloration. The coating is concentrated on the core, combining a functional surface treatment with the visual identity of the VANTA GOLD series.
Remote Valve Control + Factory Integration. Every G87 VANTA GOLD EVO system includes Yonristic remote valve control as standard, allowing the driver to select valve position and exhaust volume directly. Owners who prefer factory operation can transfer their original BMW valve actuators and retain the vehicle’s programmed valve behavior. The same exhaust assembly supports either configuration. Remote operation provides direct control, while OEM actuator integration follows factory valve logic. These are alternative operating setups.
Downpipe Compatibility. The system can be paired with matching free-flow, 200-cell, or 400-cell downpipes. The front resonators are particularly relevant when higher-flow downpipes introduce additional exhaust intensity. Together with the AURUM FLOW CORE™ and rear crossovers, they help manage unwanted frequencies while retaining the distinctive EVO sound.
Premium Material Options. Choose AISI 304 stainless steel for durability and corrosion resistance, or Ti-6Al-4V titanium for a build that places greater emphasis on reducing weight. Both material configurations retain the equal-length layout, dual 3-inch main piping, enlarged AURUM FLOW CORE™, front resonators, and G87-specific dual H-pipe axle-back.
4-Inch Quad Exhaust Tips. Four 4-inch tips complete the system with a substantial presence at the M2’s rear diffuser. Available finishes include satin silver/chrome, satin black, and carbon fiber, allowing the exhaust to complement the appearance of the vehicle.
Direct Bolt-On Installation. Developed specifically for the BMW G87 M2, the system follows the vehicle’s chassis layout and factory mounting locations. Vehicle-specific routing supports proper clearance, alignment, and tip positioning, with no cutting or welding required during a standard installation.
